Supporting the Museum
There are many ways you can support the Chebeague Island Historical Society. Our members, first coming together in 1984 to create the Society, continue to support our mission: “To enrich the lives of Chebeague residents and visitors by the acquisition and preservation of antiquities and documents and by researching and recording the story of the island’s past and present.” Our goal is to preserve the past to better understand the present while preparing for the future. We ask that you join us and support our work.
Become a Member and donate to our Annual Appeal
We value our members, both near and far. Membership demonstrates your commitment to our mission and your engagement with our work. Annual memberships are active for a calendar year. Your membership includes receipt of The Sloop’s Log which is published periodically.
Generous donations to our Annual Appeal support our exhibits and programs, as well as operational expenses that are so key to keeping our Museum alive.
Please download our Membership and Donation form, print, complete and mail to us at:

Add to Our Collections!
Thank you for considering a donation to our Museum collection. Donating your personal artifacts to the Museum is a way to ensure that your story and legacy is preserved for many generations. Our growing collection of photographs and artifacts tells the story of Chebeague Island. We are always looking for additions to our collection that relate to Chebeague. Please contact the Museum if you have items that you think could be considered for accession.
