Celebrate 150th Anniversary of Schoolhouse

​150th Anniversary Celebration of the District 9 Schoolhouse (CIHS Museum).

​1:00 to 3:00pm: The FREE early afternoon festivities will include a re-dedication of the building, entertainment, remembrances, activities for kids, book signings, music, refreshments and more.

5:00pm: Evening activities require a ticket and will include an old-fashioned lobster bake with entertainment provided by a jazz band with a nationally known vocalist. The Lobster Bake is sold out, with tickets no longer available. The professional jazz musicians and vocalist Lauren Massey (a founder of Manhattan Transfer) will perform a set of jazz music from various decades before presenting a more varied program that will be great for listening as well as dancing.

A special offering is now available. Fifty "music only" tickets are available for $20 each for the 7-9:30 pm music portion of the event. You can buy the MUSIC ONLY tickets at the museum or on the night of the event, if there are any left. ​
